Allambi Youth Services

Allambi Youth Services logoAllambi Youth Services is a not-for profit organisation that provides accommodation and support services for disadvantaged and homeless children and young people, including foster care.

We provide 24 hour on-call support to our carers. Our caseworkers maintain weekly contact with all carers and children in our care.

On going monthly training is conducted by our quality, clinical team of psychologists and medical professionals. Networking with fellow carers is also a focal point of training days. Tax-free financial assistance is provided to help you support the child in your care.

There is no such thing as the perfect foster carer. We need a diverse range of carers to cater to the individual needs of the young people in our care. Foster carers are everyday members of the community who have a strong commitment to children and young people. They can be families, couples or singles, male or female.

Regional area

Applicants must live in the following areas: Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Port Stephens & areas of the Lower Hunter. Applicants from further areas, such as the Central Coast, may be considered.

Types of care provided

Emergency, respite, short term, long term care and intensive care for children with high needs, including disabilities, primarily for children over 7 years of age.
